Description

Plugging in the device via USB does not seem to resolve the issue, and starting AltServer via the Terminal shows the error ERROR: Unknown device type iPod9,1 for <device name>!

EDIT: The issue seems to be new in AltStore 1.5 - downgrading to 1.4 seems to fix the issue for now.

Research direction

Reproduce the failure with an iPod Touch 7G on AltStore 1.5 and note the iPod9,1 error shown when AltServer starts from Terminal. Compare the same device with AltStore 1.4, where detection works; done means the 7G is detected over USB on the newer version without the unknown-device error.
