Description
## API Key Request
Hi Ai2 Asta Team! 👋
I'm excited to try out the Asta MCP tools for scientific research, but I'm running into an issue with the signup process.
### Problem
When filling out the API key request form at https://share.hsforms.com/1L4hUh20oT3mu8iXJQMV77w3ioxm, I receive the following error:
> "Please enter a different email address. This form does not accept addresses from gmail.com"
Unfortunately, I don't have an institutional email address (.edu/.org) to use instead.
### My Use Case
I'm working on academic research involving literature review and paper discovery in the field of **large language models and machine learning**. Specifically, I'd like to use Asta MCP tools to:
1. Search for relevant papers by topic and keywords
2. Explore citation networks to find influential works
3. Discover authors and their publication histories
4. Build automated literature review workflows
### Request
Could you please help me obtain an API key for the Asta MCP server? I'm happy to provide more details about my research project if needed.
**Preferred email for API key:** [zacharyzj10@gmail.com]
### Alternative
If there's an alternative signup method for individual researchers without institutional affiliations, please let me know! I'd be grateful for any guidance.

**Additional Context:**
- I'm using [Hermes Agent / OpenClaw / Claude Code] as my MCP client
- Primary research area: AI/ML, NLP, LLMs
- Intended usage: Literature search, citation analysis, author discovery
Thank you for your time and for building these amazing tools for the research community! 🙏
Best regards,
[Zachary]

*Note: I'm aware that the free Semantic Scholar and OpenAlex APIs are available, but I'm particularly interested in Asta's snippet_search functionality and unified tool interface for agent-based workflows.*
