Description
Hi I have a clarification question regarding a figure and its textual explanation in your paper, Characterizing Microservice Dependency and Performance: Alibaba Trace Analysis.
In Figure 3(a) (see the screenshot below), did you mean the number of **_unique_** microservices in a call graph? I guess you are not really counting "unique" ones.

But in the corresponding textual explanation of Figure 3(a), "unique microservices" is used once.

To get Figure 3(a), if one of the call graphs is the following example in the picture, will the analysis count this call graph contain **_2 unique microservices_** or **_3 microservices_**?

Thanks again!

Research direction
The issue points to Figure 3(a) and its corresponding textual explanation in Characterizing Microservice Dependency and Performance: Alibaba Trace Analysis; start by comparing the use of “unique microservices” with the plotted metric and the example call graph. Done means documenting whether the figure counts distinct services or all service occurrences, and correcting the wording if needed.
