Research direction

Start with the live reproduction at https://docsearch.algolia.com/ in Firefox, using a Chinese or Japanese input method in the search box. Compare composition of `baiduyixia` with the expected 百度一下 behavior and inspect the search input entry point from there. Done means IME text is synthesized correctly in Firefox without breaking normal search input.
