ng2 to ngx Feedback

We're soon going to be migrating our application from ng2 to ngx, but wanted to see if contributors or the community had any helpful feedback about making this transition before we get too far into the woods.

Is there a better approach than simply removing all ng2 components, replacing them with ngx and updating each and every view? If one doesn't already exist, I would think an ng2 to ngx conversion guide, even if simplistic, could be beneficial to get people pointed in the right direction.
