The whole project is outdated

### The current latest project is out of date and cannot not be updated to the latest version

**Current behavior:**
"npm update" does not work. it keeps on generating new errors while I try to fix the existing ones

**Expected behavior:**
that "npm update" works and succesfully updates all the dependencies

**Steps to reproduce:**
1) download ngx8.0.0(which is the current latest version)
2) extract the zip into some folder
3) cd into project and run "npm install"(you will see here that there are a ton of vulnerabilities, so you will want to update the dependencies to fix them)
4) run "npm update"
5) see it break

Node v14.17.4, npm v6.14.14
