Is it possible to open a modal from tab bar or add custom button ?

i want to be able to open modal from tabbar or just show some overlay with "Search" input.

there are couple more issues related to this but they have been closed without any real solution and no direct answer neither.

if this is possible please show example or just say "no you cant do that with RNRF".
