Navbar layout and alignment

Currently when the navbar is collapsed when the user opens the menu from the burger button the search box spans the width of the window. It should be narrowed to some fixed width which lines up better with the other links in the nav menu. To reproduce, shrink the window width to collapse the nav bar, then open the menu from the burger button.

Also, the home button on the navbar isn't vertically aligned with the other links in the nav bar. This should line up to improve visual appearance. To reproduce, while on any page widen the window so that the nav bar is expanded. The home button sits lower than the other links. This is a result of it having a different element type than the other navbar items.
