Adopt a commit message style?

Hello, guardians of reasonable javascript style! It appears that you also follow some sort of a commit message style (but I could not find its description). Would you like to adopt some formal commit message style (like [jquery style](http://contribute.jquery.org/commits-and-pull-requests/#commit-guidelines), [angular style](https://github.com/angular/angular.js/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#commit) or maybe your own)?

Review the proposed jQuery and Angular commit-guideline links and determine whether this repository has an existing contribution document where a formal style could be recorded. Done means reaching agreement on a commit-message convention and documenting the adopted rules in an identified project document.
