Add logs for monitoring time spent on specific operations to identify potential bottlenecks

This feature hasn't been fully thought through in the sense of how we actually wish to go around logging time metrics.

Ideally, we should **check whether there exists some libraries designed for this purpose**, rather than creating an arbitrary logic ourselves of logging messages once an operation exceeds allotted time limit
