Should html base tag have an effect to A-Frame element/component?

Description:
Some elements/components like <a-asset-item> and <gltf-model> take url attributes. But (if I'm right) HTML base tag doesn't have an effect to them.
A-Frame is based on HTML so it might should have an effect to them. What do you think?
