Description

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to drop this issue, so please bear with me.
But we're struggling to distribute .msi installer files via Intune because of a missing ProductCode or ProductVersion.
This happens with every OpenJDK11U_x and also with OpenJDK17U_x msi installer file.

Is there any chance to add the version to the .msi files?
Otherwise the .msi files can't be used by Intune at all.

Best Regards,
Jonny

Research direction

Inspect the installer scripts and generated OpenJDK11U_x/OpenJDK17U_x MSI files, starting by reproducing the missing ProductCode/ProductVersion metadata reported for Intune. Done means the generated MSIs expose the required version metadata and can be accepted for Intune distribution; no test or source file is named in the issue.
