Description
The API KEY is used to identify the client accessing console, it is fine to store it in the CLI but this library is used by other clients as well.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Trace where the library receives, stores, and uses the console API key, then clarify the caller contract and persistence expectations with the maintainers. Done means the library accepts the key from its callers without storing it, with tests covering the revised behavior.
