Happens when you open the device selection in AEM edit mode and select a different device. The editor is no longer working. The blue boxes on top of the components are gone and no component can be edited.

After a page reload the boxes are back.

1.1.8

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Open AEM editor
2. Switch to edit mode
3. Open device selection in menu
4. Change device
5. Blue boxes are gone, no editing possible

**Expected behavior**
The editing should still work after device switch.

Research direction

Reproduce the problem in the AEM editor using package version 1.1.8: enter edit mode, open device selection, and switch devices. Start by tracing the editor's device-selection handling and compare the editing state before and after the switch. Done means the blue component boxes remain available and components can still be edited without reloading the page.
