No connection when off local (to computer) wifi.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Using anything but the wifi the computer is connected to.

Being able to connect to desktop while away from the local wifi of the
computer.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
newest version of android vnc. (oct.20.2009) and tightvnc

Please provide any additional information below.

ive used every form of address i have for my computer. only one works, but
only when i am connected to the wifi that is also connected to my computer.
i have tried realvnc and tightvnc which tight worked and real didnt. ive
tried using other wifi spots and 3g which dont work. any ideas?
