Lots of exceptions at high temperatures.

I am seeing a lot of errors, only at high temperatures. In my case above 1800f, others have reported that this consistently happens at temperatures above 1600f.
The reported temperatures between the errors are reasonably accurate. I can run this thermocouple and MAX31855 for days at room temperature with zero errors. This happens (as above) even during cool down when the electrically noisy kiln is shut of and unplugged.

Any idea what this could be?

Start by reproducing the MAX31855 errors above 1600–1800°F, including during cooldown after the kiln is unplugged. The issue names no source file or test, so locate the driver entry point and its existing error-handling tests before determining whether the behavior is software- or hardware-related. Done means the cause is identified and a verified fix or documented limitation addresses the high-temperature errors.
