LS-5000, multisampling causes timeout.

While attempting to scan any filmstrip, though specifically this is a mono one, with more than one set of samples the scanner times out during metering. The scanner I'm using is a LS-5000 with a modified SA-21 film carrier. All of the other options I've tried are working, though admittedly I haven't attempted everything.

Built from source on Mac.
