Description

Am trying to setup up CI/CD deploy with GitHub actions but turns out my files that are not replaced like the .env and other files that are part of the .gitignore files are replaced. How can I overcome this issue? Here is my workflow

    - uses: actions/checkout@v2

Research direction

Start with the supplied GitHub Actions workflow and the actions/checkout documentation; no repository file or test is named. Determine whether the reported replacement behavior is expected for checkout and document the supported way to preserve deployment files, with a reproducible workflow example as the completion criterion.
