Descripción

I have been working on the early history of machine translation and realized that issues of The Finite String from before 1974 are missing from the ACL Anthology (or I haven't been able to find them). Issue [#1695](https://github.com/acl-org/acl-anthology/issues/1695) mentioned archiving the newsletter and issue [#5606](https://github.com/acl-org/acl-anthology/issues/5606) discusses the technical difficulties with tagging these issues for findability. However, I'm more interested in making the earlier issues listed [here](https://web.archive.org/web/20211201201347/https://www.aclweb.org/old_anthology/docs/fs.html) digitally available. The issues between 1964 and 1973 don't appear to have been digitized since they lack volume IDs.

I obtained physical copies of all these issues from Stanford University Libraries, but they're not suitable for scanning. The issues are bound into two volumes, and the binding obscures approximately half an inch of text along the inner margins.
So I'm wondering:

1. Are there scans of these volumes somewhere in the ACL Anthology, or does someone have access to these issues in better condition that could be scanned?
2. If digital versions of these issues exist, I'm happy to work on the metadata. I might not be able to handle all 86 of them, but I can get it started.

Thank you!
