Descripción

When Chinese author names are written in Latin script, we expect the surname to be last, right?

In some cases e.g. https://aclanthology.org/2023.ccl-1.64/ the order in the metadata is backwards relative to the PDF order. This seems to be systematic for some CCL proceedings (as noted in #5138).

Should we process one-off paper fixes e.g. #4677? I am worried that would make it harder to do an across-the-board fix.

Name order also came up in #5751, where the PDF order is not as expected.

I also wonder if author corrections will make it harder to backfill ORCIDs from already-ingested proceedings. Will the matching be robust to (i) in-place name corrections and (ii) author order changes?
