Throws invalid format error despite correct path specification for some files/directories

While passing valid directories for scanning, it shows (running with docker)

sudo docker run scancode-toolkit --verbose -l samples --json-pp -
```

```
Usage: scancode [OPTIONS] ...

Error: Invalid value for ' ...': Path 'samples' does not exist.
```

But if I pass the 'src' directory as an input, it does give a complete report.
