Description
The goal is to be able to deal with either or both:
- larger database shards, where only some data and fingerprints are stored for some PURLs,
- or multiple replicated database shards, (such as a write shard vs. a read-only shard).
The purpose is to improve matching performance and accessibility as well as deployment flexibility.
