Description

Describe the bug
Repaying the borrowed amount (EURC) FAILS with any token as collateral.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'app.aave.com'
  2. EURC was borrowed, against WBTC, WETH as collateral.
  3. Click on 'Repay' button next to EURC.
  4. Choose the 'Collateral' tab
  5. Repay any suitable amount for test, Approve to Continue, and click Repay EURC
  6. Error (see image)

The Error text copied is "Unexpected error". Please help fix or pin-point why I would get such error. It pops up at random, and makes the Aave repayment very unpredictable.

Expected behavior
I would expect the transaction to go through smoothly.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the repayment flow at app.aave.com using EURC borrowed against WBTC and WETH, following the six steps in the report. Compare successful and failing attempts in Firefox 136 on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, then identify why the generic “Unexpected error” occurs; done means the collateral repayment completes reliably.
