This is a COPY of Issue 372: Truncate yourls_log && keep stats in tact, filed on Google Code before the project was moved on Github.

Original description

In 5 weeks I have nearly 700,000 records in yourls_log, and I anticipate very rapid growth in the near future.

I want to be able to truncate yourls_log && keep stats in tact. Has anyone attempted to tackle this? Any thoughts? ideas?
