Description
Hi will be great if there is an option to keep the .xip during installation or don't break if the target filesystem has no .Trash.
Reproducing:
- Have a file storage without .Trash / Recycle.bin
- Preload XCode xip File to that storage - /some/path/xcodes
- Install from the download location via --path parameter to a directory like /on/same/storage/xcodes/installed via --directory parameter or ENV variable respectively
- Installation process breaks during "Moving xip to trash"

Research direction
Start by tracing the installation flow around the reported "Moving xip to trash" step, including how --path and --directory or the corresponding environment variable are handled. Confirm behavior on a filesystem without .Trash or Recycle.bin, then make installation either preserve the XIP or complete without failing; the chosen behavior should be covered by the relevant installation checks.
