Description
I don't know if it's possible, but it would be great if the unxip ran concurrently with the download, where it just takes whatever bytes are available at each moment and does what it can. Or, at least computes certain metadata like hashes that it can later plug in.

Research direction
Start by tracing how the download and unxip stages currently relate, then determine whether partial concurrent processing or deferred metadata such as hashes is feasible. Done would require a defined approach and verified behavior for the selected download and extraction workflow.
