Description

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by tracing how Xcodes discovers available Xcode releases and handles downloads, then compare that path for Xcode 5 or 6 versions. Done means those still-available old versions can be downloaded from the developer site through Xcodes.
