Description

Tell us how we can improve Xcodes
Enable the parallel use of Xcode beta and release through shortcuts in the Mac app bar
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
No specific problem, just a new feature request.
What would you like to see? How would you like it to work?
I would like to see an update, allowing me to keep the Xcode release and beta shortcuts pinned to my taskbar, and each would point to the latest available build, perhaps pointing me to download the latest version, if one is available at the time of launching the app.
New versions would be renamed to "Xcode.app" for release, and "Xcode-beta.app" for beta builds. Any older, or other builds, would still follow the current naming scheme.

Research direction

Start by finding the macOS app-bar shortcut handling and the existing Xcode download and naming flow. Done means release and beta shortcuts can remain pinned, resolve the latest available builds, use the requested release and beta names, and preserve the current naming scheme for older builds.
