Research direction

This is a broad tracking issue covering the wordpress.org site, review processes, and connector UI rather than a single implementation. Start by reviewing the linked wporg-mu-plugins pull request and the WordPress AI issue, then identify one unchecked item with a defined scope. The issue is ready only when each selected change has its own entry point and acceptance criteria.
