$block_tags_a_re = 'ins|del';

they don't work in plugin's readme and are replaced with ''.

Research direction

Start at the linked Michelf/Markdown.php block-tag handling around line 264, then trace how plugin readmes are parsed. Reproduce the issue with a readme containing <ins> and <del> tags; done means those tags are retained or rendered as supported markdown rather than replaced with empty strings.
