Description

What

Inspired by Carolina's great resource here, I think we need a course helping folks know when and how to switch a block theme:

https://fullsiteediting.com/site-creators/switch-your-website-to-full-site-editing/

This would include practical actions to take ahead of time, current limitations to help folks make a good decision, and what to expect after switching. I imagine it could be written from an end user perspective with perhaps an "advanced" section at the end for site owners/builders.

Why

While more and more folks are entering the block theme world outright with the newest versions of WordPress, there are many more who need guidance to see whether they should make the switch and how best to do so if they want to. Right now, there's not a lot of guidance here and a practical course would go a long way to demystify this process.

Note: I opened this using a blank template as the starter templates weren't clear to me 😬 Happy to add whatever information is needed.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked fullsiteediting.com resource and the existing WordPress Learn course structure. Identify current guidance on switching to block themes, then define the practical preparation, limitations, post-switch expectations, and advanced site-owner sections described in the issue. Done means the course gives users a clear basis for deciding whether and how to switch.
