This issue was discussed in the Office Hours session on May 23, 2026.
Since the WordPress 7.0 update, the Sensei templates on Learn WordPress are no longer visible or editable in the Site Editor. Previous requests to the Meta Team went unanswered. A follow-up is needed.
Tasks
- Open or reopen a ticket with the Meta Team describing the missing templates
- Include the impact (cannot set lesson meta fields such as WordPress version)
- Ask for a clear status update and timeline
- Document the response in the Training Team channel
Context
Without editable templates we cannot maintain the meta fields that classify lessons (for example the applicable WordPress version). This blocks long-term content maintenance on Learn WordPress.
