Description

Learn currently has a Lesson Plan Editor role, in addition to a standard WordPress editor role.

Proposal:

  1. Modify Editor role functionality to include:
  • access to all content for updates
  • no access to vetting metadata or adding new users to site
  • no access to publish revisions. Revisions get queued for faculty role
  1. Rename Workshop Reviewer role to Faculty Reviewer

Research direction

Start by locating the WordPress role definitions for Editor, Lesson Plan Editor, Workshop Reviewer, and Faculty Reviewer. Compare their current capabilities with the requested access, vetting, user-management, and revision workflow, then verify that the role rename and permission boundaries are reflected in the relevant tests or admin behavior.
