[HelpHub] Documentation on how to license your own content

Some time ago (more than a decade, actually), when the initial iteration of HelpHub was being considered and worked on, a document outlining what Creative Commons is, and how to use it to license your content was created.

This still lives under the old "staging area" for such content, over at https://make.wordpress.org/support/user-manual/creative-commons/ but it would be nice to give this a proper home.

Per now, there is no such documentation at all, but I think Tor-Björn (@tobifjellner) made some great points:

And marking various levels of licenses on your own content should probably live under

Does it make sense to create a page about licensing your content?
Licensing in and of itself is a potentially complex area, and there's so many variations.

Perhaps a more holistic approach of an overarching page about what content licensing is, mentioning what licenses WordPress uses and why, and then a reference to a proper reference on what licenses exist and what they do? I'm not sure, but it's a good starting point for a discussion!

Start by reviewing the existing Creative Commons material at the linked HelpHub staging page and the referenced WordPress documentation pages on using images and publishing. The issue needs a decided scope and destination for licensing guidance; it is done when the agreed documentation has a proper home and covers the selected licensing approach.
