Description

To place structs, functions etc. in any place in complex pattern files I wish the pattern language would support forward declarations for these. Readability/maintainability would greatly improve if these could ordered logically and not by order of definition.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the pattern-language parser and declaration handling, then determine how forward declarations should be represented and validated. Done means an agreed syntax and semantics are implemented with coverage for declarations appearing before their definitions.
