Description
Hi @ivyl @aeikum,
I use some patches from Proton to my wine upstream build. Specially this patch which allow to fix EA Origin overlay issue.
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/wine/commit/47be204baf902d876fc5e5b0240b6167500ec0dd
This patch break Insurmontable (https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52824).
There is a possibility to update (i hope) this patch to avoid this issue ?
I prefer to avoid to manage an other wine build for only one game :x
Thanks,

Research direction
Start by reading the referenced commit 47be204baf902d876fc5e5b0240b6167500ec0dd and the linked Insurmountable report. Reproduce the breakage with the EA Origin overlay patch applied, then compare behavior with the patch reverted. Done means the overlay still works while Insurmountable no longer exhibits the reported regression.
