Description

Within the gameui.dll is all the code for the color correction menu and it is and has been broken on the sdk2013 branch for ages. There are several issues reported on the Valve Developer Community wiki page for color correction and have gone unaddressed. Color Correction is a powerful tool for mapmaking and goes underutilised and has went under the radar for far too long. I understand there's more pressing issues but to my knowledge there hasn't been an issue made for this yet.

It would also be nice to bring in a feature present only in alien swarm and above where you can also load in previously made color correction files.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the color correction issues listed on the Valve Developer Community wiki and locating the color correction menu code in gameui.dll on the sdk2013 branch. Compare the relevant behavior with Alien Swarm and define completion as addressing the reported menu problems and supporting loading previously created color correction files.
