Description

Before the 64-bit update, the active projects debugging configuration options (eg. Command Line, Command Arguments, Working Directory) were preserved when regenerating the solution with vpc.exe.

Since then, these settings reset to the defaults, causing custom options to be lost (for instance, specifying Source SDK 2013 Dedicated server to be used instead).

Is there any way to prevent this? Thank you.

Research direction

Start by locating the vpc.exe handling for regenerating the solution and compare it with the pre-64-bit behavior described in the issue. Check how Command Line, Command Arguments, and Working Directory are represented during regeneration; done means custom debugging options remain intact after a VPC rebuild.
