Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I built a Steam Machine with the following parts:

  • Case/PSU/Mobo: Asrock Deskmeet X600
  • CPU: AMD R5 7500F
  • GPU: PowerColor RX 9060XT Reaper 16GB
  • RAM: 2x 8GB Whalekom DDR5-5600
  • SSD: 1TB Ediloca EN870 Gen4x4
  • Cooler: Deepcool AN400

The wifi stops working whenever I put SteamOS to sleep. No AP will show up under Wifi. The only workaround is to shut SteamOS down and perform a cold boot.

My wifi card is and internal Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 model.

Steps for reproducing this issue:
  1. Put SteamOS to sleep eityher by power button or Steam Menu > Power > Sleep
  2. Wake the system by pressing spacebar or the power button
  3. Wifi stops working.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the reported sequence on the listed SteamOS and Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 setup: sleep from the power button or Steam menu, then wake it. Investigate the sleep/wake networking path; done means Wi-Fi resumes after wake and access points appear without requiring a shutdown and cold boot.
