Description

Your system information
  • Steam client version: 1785799196
  • SteamOS version: 3.10

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Volume buttons on the Onexplayer Apex on SteamOS are not registering input. Pressing the Volume up or down button does not adjust volume but needs to be adjusted through the quick menu settings. This is the case on Stable, beta and main branch throughout 3.8, 3.9 and the latest release 3.10. Proven to be working on Bazzite and CachyOS out of the box.

Used SRS Holmes loadout to fix issue but is now having issues with latest release 3.10

Steps for reproducing this issue:
  1. Press Volume buttons in Game or Desktop mode

Research direction

Reproduce the issue on an Onexplayer Apex by pressing the volume buttons in both Game and Desktop modes, checking Stable, beta, and main channels. Done means the volume-up and volume-down buttons adjust system volume without using the quick menu; compare behavior with the reported SRS Holmes workaround and Bazzite or CachyOS.
