Description

  • Steam client version:1785799196
  • SteamOS version: 3.8.16
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: No
  • Opted into SteamOS beta?: No
  • Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: Yes

I have two Steam Decks and some pc with SteamOS installed. In every case, I cannot set sample rate to 192KHz/24bit.

In sound options I cannot find advanced configs: there are only devices and volumes.

I think that this could be a nice feature.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating SteamOS audio settings and the external-DAC sample-rate handling; done means users can select 192 kHz/24-bit when supported and the setting is applied reliably.
