Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
When playing games with native or steam input dpad support, rapid movement around the dpad can lead to a stuck key until pressed again. For instance, playing a 2D platformer, navigating an intense fight and dodging attacks rapidly will lead to the player running in the wrong direction until the key is pressed again.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
- Rapidly roll around DPAD, changing directions. The a key will eventually get stuck.
Also of note, dpad inputs do not register in the controller “Test Device Inputs” of SteamOS.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue with rapid D-pad direction changes in a game, then check SteamOS's controller “Test Device Inputs” screen as described. Done means D-pad inputs register there and rapid changes no longer leave a direction stuck until pressed again.
