xdg-desktop-portal-gamescope Repository

A notable feature absent from gamescope is xdg portal support, since it's just meant to be a compositor and nothing more - however, SteamOS does feature a portal daemon as a separate project altogether. There's a metapackage for it here, for example.

The issue is that the repo it links to is hidden; it's unclear if it's fully proprietary or if there exist authorized mirrors like this one here, which shows a BSD license:

The reason I ask is because there have been some issues found as part of improving PipeWire streaming support and adding support for HDR from Linux hosts, and we're not sure where to report things or send patches. For now we're just filing tickets at the mirror, which seems wrong:

Review the linked xdg-desktop-portal-gamescope source tarball and the Jovian-Experiments mirror, then read SteamOS issue 2126 and the mirror's issue 1 for context. Done means maintainers identify the canonical repository or authorized mirror and explain where future bug reports and patches should be sent.
