Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen.
The issue mostly explains this. It should stay asleep until I reconnect the controller for use at a later time instead of turning the machine back on instantly, even if I manually power off the controller.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
- Have a Controller that uses a Dongle for connecting. In my Case I have tried the EasySMX D05 and Xbox Series Remote with the offical Xbox Wireless adaptor. I have seen reports of this also happening with official steam controllers.
- Sleep the machine however you chose. In my case I tested from the power menu and the Guide button hold shortcut
- When the Controller turns off or sleeps steamOS wakes up the computer. Both if I let the controller time out or if I manually power it down.

Research direction
No repository file, test, or code entry point is identified. Start by reproducing the wake-up behavior on SteamOS using the EasySMX D05 and Xbox Series controller with its official wireless adapter, testing both timeout and manual power-off cases. Done means the system remains asleep after the controller disconnects or powers down.
