No issues related to Supreme Snowboarding exist as of now. SteamDeck is up to date and I use several versions of Proton to no avail.

Symptoms

The game won't start.

Reproduction

Download SSB from https://supreme-snowboarding.eu/. It is a limited edition which is shareware but that already doesn't work so I don't think the full version does either. The full version is harder to come by.

Copy the installer to the Steam Deck using an SD card. Run Steam on the SteamDeck in Desktop Mode and add the installer as a new game. Run it with Proton Experimental - the installer will run and install the game. Find the installed game files in home/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/meaninglessnumber/pfx/c_drive/Games/Supreme and add it as a non-Steam game to Steam in Desktop Mode again.

Switch to Gaming Mode, set compatibility to Proton Experimental and attempt to run the game. It will crash right on startup.

Start by reproducing the crash on SteamDeck in Gaming Mode with the listed Proton versions and review the game's installation steps. Generate the requested system information and Proton log, then use them to investigate why Supreme Snowboarding fails at startup. Done means the game launches successfully or the compatibility cause is documented with supporting logs.
