Description

Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues: Unholy Heights
  • Steam AppID of the game: 249330

System Information

  • 512 GB Steam Deck
  • Proton version: Experimental

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

Game seems to be playable on deck, though there seems to be a complete lack of audio in the game period. Checking protondb this seems to happen on non deck devices too.
steam-249330.log

Reproduction

Just start the game up and listen, have a video example of it working on windows with audio.

Research direction

Start by reproducing Unholy Heights (Steam AppID 249330) on Steam Deck with Proton Experimental, then inspect the attached steam-249330.log for audio-related failures. Compare the behavior with the linked Windows video; done means determining the cause of the missing audio and verifying working in-game audio after the compatibility change.
