Symptoms

Game is stuck in a black screen at approximately 30-40 minutes into the game.
I am assuming there is a video to be played (intro/title video) but nothing is shown and there is no audio.

Workaround is to open advanced settings (in the menu bar after enabled), then set movie to "automatic" from "layer". This will make game proceed to next scene.
Edit: this does not work in the second time attempt..

Reproduction

1. Start the game, start a new game or load a save from before the scene.
2. Observe black screen

Start with the attached steam-1610290.log and the reproduction steps in the report. Compare the failing movie playback with the reported layer and automatic movie settings, then verify the scene can proceed with both Proton 7.0 and 8.0. Done means the black screen and missing audio no longer block the game at the affected scene.
