Symptoms

All games crash after a few seconds of a completely black screen with a console like "_" in the top left corner.
The whole session is lost as well (all opened windows), so I suppose kwin crashes?
Started happening few days ago. Don't know when exactly because I wasn't using proton for a while.

Reproduction

Not really reproductible for someone else i suppose
Run any game using any proton version (wine-staging works)

Start with the attached steam-235460.log and the linked system information report, then reproduce the black-screen crash with a Proton game if possible. Compare the behavior with wine-staging and determine whether the session loss is associated with KWin or another system component; done means identifying a reproducible cause or narrowing it to a specific component.
