Symptoms

The intro video and menu's background video shows color bars as expected with experimental and shows the video with ge_proton8_1,
But with experimental bleeding-edge and ge_proton8_2 it is all black.

Reproduction

Launch the game with either proton experimental bleeding edge or ge_proton8_2.

Reproduce the issue by launching Idol Showdown (Steam AppID 1742020) with Proton experimental bleeding edge or ge_proton8_2, then inspect the attached steam-1742020.log. Compare the behavior with ge_proton8_1 and the listed GPU and Mesa environments; done means the intro and menu background videos render instead of appearing black.
