Symptoms
When Using Proton 8, 8-GE and 7-GE the game does not start. After a moment it shows a "Paradox launcher is not responding" and you can only quit it.
When using Proton-7, Paradox Launcher opens. You can click Play Game. A fullscreen window opens and closes. A crash reporter opens and closes after a second or two.

I don't believe this is purely a nvidia issue (the game is rated playable on the store).
